The idea of defunding the police may have moved a bit off the mainstream media cycles, but it's not disappeared. And it's still just as crazy as ever. There are reforms that can be made to police -- like demilitarizing their mindsets. But cutting funding to police and giving it instead to rapid response therapists is just, well, stupid. Yet it's taking place. And it needs to be nipped in the bud before it grows nationwide.
