It's bad enough Halloween has become a major holiday in
America, and has grown far beyond the one-day affair it was
originally designed. But selling Halloween stuff in August? That's
going a bit too far. And really, if you consider how Christmas has
been watered down, and Thanksgiving pushed to the side, because too
many in America now see those holidays as offensive, the fact that
Halloween has been stretched to last months is a frightening
commentary on society as a whole. It says we care more about
demonic celebrations than remembering God. Guest GraceAnna
Castleberry has created a devotional to counter the Elf on a Shelf
game so popular at Christmas, called Manger in Danger, and it's her
intent to help put back the Christ in Christmas.
